About

I’ve always found “About” pages terribly daunting and so I had a read around other bloggers to get some inspiration. It seems to me that there is a few ways I can do this:

1) The putting yourself down/modest/succinct way:

I’m scared of everything; not very funny, and just smart enough to know that actually, I’m quite dumb.

So please, follow me.

2) The bragging way:

I don’t have any awards, but friends and family have described my blog as being “Brilliant” (sister); “Well written” (sister), and my personal favourite; “Shite that makes you smile” (sister).

So please, follow me.

3) The incredibly detailed way:

My name is Josie Duncan. I am 21 years old. I am studying English Literature at the University of Glasgow. What am I going to do with that, you say? I have absolutely no idea. Probably get another degree. In this blog, I will write about cats, university, Glasgow, food, drink, travelling, fears, my job, and just generally being a bit of an idiot when it comes to social interaction.

So please, follow me.

4) The polite way:

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I do hope you are sitting comfortably and will find some enjoyment in my blog. I am so sorry if it is not to your liking, but I  would really appreciate your giving it a go and would gladly receive, with open arms and a smile on my face, any criticism you may have.

So please, follow me.

So there you go: just pick whatever one you like best and please, follow me.

  1. Hi – I came across your blog when searching for something else and started to read your posts.

I just wanted to say how interesting and true to life they are. You come across as much more mature than 21, and that’s something rare and refreshing.

    Keep them coming 🙂
